Ingredients:
- 1 cup cooked brown rice
- 1 cup finely chopped mushrooms
- 1 cup chopped walnuts
- 1/2 cup finely chopped onion
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon tomato paste
- 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Burger buns, lettuce, tomato slices, and condiments of choice for serving
Instructions:
In a large bowl, mix together the cooked brown rice, chopped mushrooms, chopped walnuts, chopped onion, minced garlic, soy sauce, tomato paste, dried thyme, dried oregano, salt, and pepper
Using your hands, form the mixture into burger patties
Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and lightly grease with oil
Cook the patties for 4-5 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and heated through
Serve the mushroom-nut burgers on burger buns with lettuce, tomato slices, and your favorite condiments
