Ingredients:
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1/2 cup soy sauce
- 1/2 cup honey
- 1/4 cup ketchup
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon dried basil
- 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- 2 tablespoons water
- Sesame seeds and chopped green onions for garnish optional
Instructions:
Place chicken breasts in the slow cooker
In a bowl, mix soy sauce, honey, ketchup, garlic, basil, oregano, red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper
Pour the mixture over the chicken
Cover and cook on low for 4-5 hours or until chicken is cooked through
Remove chicken from slow cooker and shred with two forks
In a small bowl, mix cornstarch and water until smooth
Pour mixture into the slow cooker sauce and stir
Return shredded chicken to the slow cooker and stir to coat with sauce
Cover and cook on high for an additional 30 minutes until sauce thickens
Serve over rice or noodles, garnished with sesame seeds and chopped green onions if desired
